Boundary Conditions for Singular Perturbations of Self-Adjoint Operators

Let A : D(A) ⊆ H → H be an injective self-adjoint operator and let τ : D(A) → X, X a Banach space, be a surjective linear map such that ‖τφ‖X ≤ c ‖Aφ‖H. Supposing that Range (τ ) ∩ H = {0}, we define a family AτΘ of self-adjoint operators which are extensions of the symmetric operator A|{τ=0} . Any φ in the operator domain D(A τ Θ) is characterized by a sort of boundary conditions on its univoc...

Resolvents of self-adjoint extensions with mixed boundary conditions

We prove a variant of Krein’s resolvent formula for self-adjoint extensions given by arbitrary boundary conditions. A parametrization of all such extensions is suggested with the help of two bounded operators instead of multivalued operators and selfadjoint linear relations.

Adjoint quarks and fermionic boundary conditions

We study quenched SU(2) lattice gauge theory with adjoint fermions in a wide range of temperatures. We focus on spectral quantities of the Dirac operator and use the temporal fermionic boundary conditions as a tool to probe the system. We determine the deconfinement temperature through the Polyakov loop, and the chiral symmetry restoration temperature for adjoint fermions through the gap in the...

The Wave Equation in Non-classic Cases: Non-self Adjoint with Non-local and Non-periodic Boundary Conditions

In this paper has been studied the wave equation in some non-classic cases. In the  rst case boundary conditions are non-local and non-periodic. At that case the associated spectral problem is a self-adjoint problem and consequently the eigenvalues are real. But the second case the associated spectral problem is non-self-adjoint and consequently the eigenvalues are complex numbers,in which two ...

and Applied Analysis 3 2. Jost Solution of 1.4 We will denote the solution of 1.4 satisfying the condition lim x→∞ y x, λ e−iλx 1, λ ∈ C : {λ : λ ∈ C, Imλ ≥ 0}, 2.1 by e x, λ . The solution e x, λ is called the Jost solution of 1.4 . Under the condition ∫∞ 0 x ∣ ∣q x ∣ ∣dx < ∞, 2.2 the Jost solution has a representation
